What are your office hours?
Macy & Thomas Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm and Saturdays, 8am to 2pm. Appointment times vary according to doctors’ schedules.

When can I visit my pet in the hospital?
Our visiting hours are 12pm to 3pm and from 4pm to 6pm. To ensure our patient care is not delayed, we ask that visits are limited to 15 minutes. **Please call ahead before visiting, so that we may inform you of any potential waiting times. We must give priority to incoming emergencies, so there may be a bit of a wait if you visit during a “busy” time.

How much will my pet’s care cost?
Every case is unique, so our doctors will provide you with an estimate for treatment protocol once they have examined your pet and consulted with you regarding the treatment options. The estimate will have a price range based on the particular needs of your pet.
The lower end of the estimate will typically cover the initial diagnostics, (blood tests, radiographs, ultrasounds, etc.) This lower end amount is the deposit required at the time your pet is admitted to the hospital. The higher end of the estimate is the doctor’s best assessment of what the fees will be once the treatments are completed. **Please note that this is only an estimate, and it may need to be modified as results are received, and changes made to the treatment plan. We will do our best to keep you informed of any financial changes, and provide a revised estimate. Please feel free to call anytime for an update on the financial situation.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, ATM check cards, and Care Credit (3 month interest free payment plan). **If you are unable to pay yourself, it is possible to arrange for a friend or relative to pay the amount due. However, for security and fraud prevention reasons, the cardholder must present their credit card and photo identification to ACCIM in person.
Payment is required at the time of service; we do not do billing, nor accept partial payments or post-dated checks.

When can I call to speak with a doctor about my pet?
We understand how difficult and stressful it can be when your pet is hospitalized, so we encourage you to call at any time. If a doctor is unavailable to speak with you at that moment, you are welcome to leave a message or get a clinical update from a technician. The doctor or doctor’s assistant will give all medical updates. ** Please be advised that morning doctor’s rounds are typically done between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. It is best to call after these hours, as the doctors may not be available to speak with you until they have completed the rounds on all of the in-house patients.

If you need to call to obtain test results, please note that technicians, doctor’s assistants, and receptionists are only allowed to relay results to you as instructed to do so by a doctor. Doctors are the only ones allowed to interpret test results. Please do not ask any one other than your doctor to provide medical advice or the meanings of the test results. Thank you.

Can I leave my pet’s bedding or favorite toy with them while they are hospitalized?
We understand that you want to make your pet’s stay in hospital as comfortable as possible, and that is our goal as well. However, due to the high number of patients we see, it is very difficult to ensure that personal belongings are returned to you when your pet is discharged. To avoid loss of leashes and collars, blankets, etc. we ask that you please keep them with you. If they are left behind, we cannot guarantee they will be returned to you. We have plenty of blankets, pillows and other items to ensure your pet will be as comfortable as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to speak with any member of our staff, and we will be happy to answer them for you. Thank you
